The Council Office is closed Easter Monday.
Regular Development Office Hours are back! Visit Michael Olubiyi on Wednesdays at the Municipal Office at the Milton Community Hall to drop off development application forms or have your development questions answered. He works for Miltonvale Park from 9 a.m. -2 p.m. on Wednesdays until fall – but may be out in the municipality visiting properties. You can also make an appointment by calling the office at 902-368-3090 or emailing develop@miltonvalepark.com.
Official Plan Update – The presentation and video from the Public Information Session #2 on Wednesday, March 30 are now posted on the municipal website. SJ Murphy Planning & Consultants will be making a presentation to Planning Board with more specific details on April 14 at 6:30, based on feedback received at the meeting -and from residents who email their thoughts to MVPOfficialPlan@gmail.com as soon as possible, so there is time to incorporate the feedback. All the information regarding the Official Plan and Bylaw Review is available on this page.
The next Public Meeting is scheduled for Thursday April 22 at 7:30 p.m. Remember to RSVP to the Council Office, if you plan to attend.
The National Building Code is now in effect across PEI. It is being administered by the Province. Development Permits will be issued by the municipality, and the Province will issue Building Permits. Recent videos added to the Facebook pages include Easter Desserts Presentation and a short Just for Fun Concert, as well as David Hooper’s presentation from March 31 on the Milton Hornets – part 3. The Healthy Snacking presentation should be posted soon, but the recipes are already online.
Leone Curtis is now leading Mat Yoga on Tuesday mornings at 9 a.m. and Chair Yoga on Thursday mornings at 10 a.m. The cost is $5 and if you would like to attend, please contact the Council Office.
We hope to offer a gardening workshop soon – if you or someone you know might present an information session, please contact the Council office.
We still have quite a few fabric face masks at the Council Office for residents – Residents ar encouraged to drop by and pick one up! There are also books to borrow, and a food supply cupboard if you need items such as canned meats, snacks, toilet paper, toothpaste, juice, jam, peanut butter, cheese whiz…
There will be no coffee, exercise, sewing or line dancing at the hall on Easter Monday.
Please reserve Saturday afternoon, May 15 for the Milton Community Hall Lobster Takeout. Tickets will be $25 and available soon. The Young At Heart Musical Theatre will be presenting Fascinating Maritime Ladies at the Milton Hall on Saturday afternoon, June 12.
