Miltonvale Park is a Rural Municipality of approximately 1150 residents which is governed by a Mayor and elected Council, who are given their authority under the Municipal Government Act.
The Council has an office and meeting space at the Milton Community Hall and strives to provide good government for its residents.
Services provided to residents include planning, through its Official Plan and Zoning and Subdivision (Development) Bylaws; Emergency Planning, recreation facilities, including a dog park, and summer programming at the Miltonvale Community Park, regular newsletters and community notice boards, rebates for green initiatives (HE washers, low-flow replacement toilets and showerheads), child bursaries, and donations to individuals who represent the area in out-of-province events, as well as to local WI branches and the Milton Community Hall. The municipality also provides recreational opportunities and seniors programming, usually at the Milton Community Hall and hosts an annual Canada Day celebration. In 2018 the municipality partnered with Bell Aliant to provide access to high speed fiber internet to over 200 homes in Miltonvale Park.
Residents are encouraged to attend the monthly Council meetings (usually the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the Milton Community Hall) and to reach out to the Council office with any concerns or suggestions.
