ParticipACTION Community Better Challenge –

Miltonvale Park is participating in the ParticipACTION Community Better Challenge throughout the month of June, with a month- long virtual walk where participants add their activity together to reach our goal -and a series of special events. We are asking residents to sign up with summer student Luke at the Council office to participate and to regularly send in your active minutes (or steps if that is easier for you to calculate). There are Provincial and National prizes for the most active community. As well, using the ParticipACTION app can make you eligible for individual prizes. https://www.participaction.com/en-ca/programs/app

Help Us Walk to Miltonvale, Kansas.

Miltonvale Park has joined the ParticipACTION Community Better Challenge, to see who is Canada’s most active community! The community goal is to collectively walk to Miltonvale, Kansas, which is more than 2000 miles away! Get moving to help us reach our goal! To register, email miltonvaleparkengage@gmail.com.

The municipality also has a film subscription until the end of July – so if there is a movie you would like to see on the big screen, please let him (or Lindsey) know. Luke is also holding down the fort until June 10, while I am isolating at home after an out of province appointment.

Coffee Club will take place over the summer on Mondays and Fridays at 10 a.m. They are hoping to focus on events for young adults, and would welcome suggestions that might appeal to that age group. There is still an opening for a student for the Association of Rural Community Hall, based at the hall, and possibly 8-week positions for the hall, park and ARCH later in the summer/fall.
