PARTICIPACTION!
Miltonvale Park is participating in the ParticipACTION Community Challenge this June. We are providing lots of free or low-cost activities to get people active -and hope to win the $15,000 prize if we are named PEI’s most active community… and we need your help! We are currently leading for PEI… so please help us stay on top!!
Pledge to be more active this June at https://www.participaction.
You can sign up as an individual (please use a Miltonvale Park Postal Code – such as C1E 0S7, if you don’t live where – or get your mail at the post office in Winsloe -as that postal code will put you on Charlottetown’s team!). You don’t have to do any reporting as an individual to ParticipACTION – just pledge to be more active (you can still report to us for the virtual walk, if you would like – link below) and/OR you can sign up as an organization – such as a workplace, church, or group. You then have to register your events –so if the “Loyalist Road Ladies”, for example, walk daily – they could count towards the active organizations – which helps us score points!
Teams are assigned by postal code – so if you would like to be counted for Miltonvale Park. please use a postal code from here – such as C1E 0S7
Register with Zach at miltonvalepark.staff@gmail.com or 902-368-3090, for ParticipaCTION events.
For the entire month of June:
Virtual Walk to Mount Milton, BC – Come together as a community and see if we can reach Mt. Milton, B.C! This mountain’s summit is 5270 km away. This walk will take us across the Canadian provinces and on top of this beautiful snowy mountain. Sign up and track how many steps you take (or if you measure your activity a different way, you can track that too!). You can submit your activity regularly to Zach at this link https://forms.gle/
Walk More than the Mayor– Mayor Hal loves to get out and walk, especially with his dog, Milton. See if you can outwalk the Mayor this June. We will track your progress at the same link as the virtual walk:
https://forms.gle/
The ParticipACTON Community Challenge is presented by Novo Nordisk. This project is funded in part by the Government of Canada.
Remember to sign up with Zach at miltonvalepark.staff@gmail.com or 902-368-3090, unless noted. Some classes have limited space available and Miltonvale Park residents may have priority.
Miltonvale Park residents -Are you signing your children up for activities, classes, and lessons? Residents are entitled to $75/child/year to reimburse costs of extracurricular activities. https://miltonvalepark.com/
Radon – The municipality has just signed up for a campaign to happen in the fall of 2025, where we will have 100 radon detectors for residents to put in their homes for 100 days and then be sent off for results to be obtained (and emailed directly and confidentially back to residents). More information and registration details will follow – but if you want to be sure to get your name on the list, please email admin@miltonvalepark.com.
