NOTICE TO ELECTORS FOR COUNCIL NOMINATIONS
PURSUANT TO SECTION 42 OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT ACT, AND SUBSECTION 25(1) OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION REGULATIONS
Public notice is hereby given to the electors of the Rural Municipality of Miltonvale Park that a Municipal Election will be held on November 2, 2026, to elect the Mayor and six Councillors for Miltonvale Park for the term of office terminating on the 6th day of December 2030.
The nomination period for the council positions noted above opens on Wednesday, October 7, and closes at 2:00 p.m. on Nomination Day, Friday, October 16, 2026.
Nominations can be received at the election office, at Milton Community Hall, 7 New Glasgow Rd. Rte. 224, North Milton by the Municipal Electoral Officer (MEO) or Returning Officer at the following times, during Municipal Office Hours, on or after October 7.
- Mondays 10-5
- Tuesdays 1-6:30
- Wednesdays 9-5
- Fridays 10 a.m. -12 p.m., except Friday, October 16, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Candidates are responsible for confirming their eligibility to be nominated prior to submitting their nomination form.
For voters, the deadline for correcting elector information shall be no later than 11:59 a.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2026.
