The Mayor and Council of the Rural Municipality of Miltonvale Park want to ensure the safety of all residents.
The Municipal Office is closed to the public, and the CAO is working from home.
Emails will be monitored and telephone messages checked several times daily -902-368-3090. Unfortunately the emergency phone number left on the answering machine is wrong. If you need to contact the CAO quickly, please email admin@miltonvalepark.com or call 902-213-0597.
All non-essential municipal services are not operating. All Recreational Programming and Public Meetings have been suspended. Development Permits are not being processed, nor are bursary applications, although they are still being accepted.
The community park is not being maintained (as is usual over the winter and early spring months). We ask residents to not permit their children to use the playground area of the park. It is difficult to maintain safe social distance of 2 meters, and the playground equipment is not sanitized. This follows the advice of the Chief Public Health Officer.
Public Health currently asks Islanders to avoid gatherings of more than five people where a 2 m distance cannot be maintained and that all non-essential travel be cancelled. Anyone travelling from out of Province is required to self-isolate for 14 days, and it is recommended that Islanders stay at home if possible. Please check on your neighbours and if there is any way the Municipality can help, please contact the office at admin@miltonvalepark.com or 902-368-3090.
Be sure to use credible sources to obtain information on COVID-19. The Province has links to all their information here.
Stay safe and healthy!
