The Rural Municipality of Miltonvale Park has been updating information on Emergency Measures Resources.
Many residents have not filled out an EMO Survey; therefore, the municipality will assume that if an emergency does occur those homes have enough resources to be self-sufficient.
Newfoundland was recently pummeled with snow and experienced a week long state of emergency. It is not only weather events that must be planned for. Road closures, forest fires, chemical spills and health emergencies (such as the Coronavirus, if it were not contained) may all require the EMO plan to be activated.
The municipality wishes to make sure all residents are safe if an emergency happens here. If you have resources (equipment, training, etc.) that would be helpful in an emergency please fill out the survey or email admin@miltonvalepark.
