NOTICE OF NOMINATION PROCEEDINGS
PURSUANT TO THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT ACT
Public notice is hereby given to the electors of the Rural Municipality of Miltonvale Park that a Municipal Election will be held on Monday, November 7, 2022 to elect the mayor and six councillors for the Rural Municipality of Miltonvale Park for the term of office for four years.
The nomination period for the mayor and councillor positions commences on Wednesday, October 12 and closes at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2022.
Nominations shall only be received during office hours at the election office, located at Milton Community Hall, 7 New Glasgow Road -Rte 224, North Milton.
The election office hours shall be Tuesdays – 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., Wednesdays 9:00 a.m. – 12 noon, Friday, October 21 (and Oct. 28, if required) from 9:00 a.m. -2 p.m. and while the election polls are open. Other hours by chance. A candidate must file their completed nomination paper at the election office with the Municipal Electoral Officer or Returning Officer.
The deadline for correcting elector information shall be no later than 11:59 a.m. on October 25, 2022.
