Miltonvale Community Park – The park is no longer staffed. If you notice issues, please contact the Municipal Office at 902-368-3090, admin@miltonvalepark.com, or 902-213-0597.

Reminder – There are books and puzzles to borrow in the lobby at the Milton Community Hall, and a Little Free Library at the park.

Miltonvale Park offers a child bursary, low-flow toilet rebates, and rebates for high-efficiency washers and low-flow showerheads to its residents. https://miltonvalepark.com/for-residents/rebates-forms/

Coyote Sightings – Please be vigilant regarding your pets and children. If you see a coyote:

  • Stay calm and keep your distance
  • Do not approach, feed, or attempt to interact with it
  • Keep dogs on a leash and pick up small pets if it is safe to do so
  • Make yourself appear larger, make loud noises, and slowly back away if a coyote approaches
  • Do not run
  • Report any aggressive behaviour to the appropriate local authorities

DOGS on LEASH – Reminder – Dogs at the Community Park should be leashed, unless they are inside the dog park.

Community Survey! – https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MvPCares26
If you haven’t already sent in your thoughts, we still want to hear from you!

Quilt Lottery
Lottery tickets are available for a beautiful Remembrance Day handmade quilt! This is a fundraiser for the Milton Community Hall. Other prizes include two tickets for the annual lobster takeout and a $50 gift certificate that can be used for anything at the hall. The draw date is November 9, 2026, and tickets are $3 or 2/$5.

Black Light Theatre – We had a great black light theatre meeting recently – watch for details on how you can get involved!

Resident in need – The municipality has been made aware of a resident who is in poor health, not able to work, not eligible for most assistance programs, in serious financial need, and not able to meet basic needs such as rent or electricity. The municipality has no programs/grants/options to assist other than through any food hampers giveaways and community meals. We realize that many folks are finding things difficult, but if any resident would like to make a small contribution directly to the resident, it could be left with Shari at the Milton Community Hall, and would be used to defray these costs. This is not a municipal initiative – merely neighbours trying to help someone in need.

Thank you to Chesapeake Suites & Townhouses for recently sponsoring two wellness mornings. Not that we are trying to entice people to move out of Miltonvale Park, but they have housing options for active seniors, and are hosting an open house on Saturday afternoon at The Cecilia on Minna Jane Drive, Charlottetown to learn about their new building, The Emeline, which is pre-booking for Spring 2027.  Saturday, October 24, 2-4 p.m.

ELECTION Q & A

Who is eligible to vote?

You can vote in the municipal election if you:

  • are a Canadian citizen
  • are at least 18 years of age or older
  • have lived in PEI for at least 6 months before election day
  • are ordinarily a resident in the municipality on election day (‘ordinarily resident’ is defined in section 22 and 23 of the Election Act)

What if I am not on the Voters’ List?

If you are not registered as an elector, but are eligible to vote, you will need to register at your polling station on voting day.

What do I need to bring with me in order to vote in the municipal election?

All electors must bring identification (ID) or documents with their name and address.  Electors can bring:

  • One piece of government ID with their name and address, OR
  • Two pieces of ID or documents with their name on both and address on at least one.

Electors who cannot prove their current address can bring two pieces of ID with their name and sign a declaration at the poll.  Look at examples of acceptable forms of identification or documentation. Miltonvale Park does not send out any voter cards.

How many candidates can I vote for?

Up to six.

What if I make a mistake when I am voting?

Fold your ballot as directed so the returning officer can’t see who you have voted for. Return to the table, say you made an error, return the spoiled ballot, which will be put in a special envelope, and receive a new ballot.
