Rural Municipality of Miltonvale Park Public Meeting

Milton Community Hall, 7 New Glasgow Road, North Milton
The Municipality has undertaken a review of the Official Plan and Bylaw and intends to adopt a new Official Plan and Development Bylaw. Significant changes from the current documents include
- updates to data,
- increasing the number and size of accessory buildings permitted,
- enabling a Planned Use Residential Development (PURD) Zone,
- allowing lots to be subdivided in the Industrial and Commercial Zones,
- clarifying regulations regarding ground-mounted solar arrays and commercial uses on residential properties,
- providing options for small scale and personal agricultural activities,
- adding standards for developing in flood hazard areas, and
- increasing the land designated for residential use in the Sleepy Hollow area on the Future Land Use and Zoning maps.
After April 12, the public can view the draft documents at the Milton Community Hall during office hours or at the Official Plan and Bylaw Review Page.
The public is invited to attend the meeting on April 22 and to make representations to Council regarding the proposed Official Plan and Development Bylaw. Comments are welcome to MVPOfficialPlan@gmail.com. The Official Plan and Bylaw will be considered at the Council Meetings scheduled for 7:30 p.m., Wednesdays, May 19 and June 16 at the Milton Community Hall.
