This week is Olympic Week at the Community Park at 413 Sleepy Hollow Road. On Wednesday, July 28 from 2-4 p.m. school aged children are invited to attend and try out different sports and games. On Thursday, July 29th, the Rural Municipality of Miltonvale Park will be at Strathgartney Highlands Golf Course for a community driving range event. If you are a Miltonvale Park resident aged 55+, your large bucket of balls is on us. Everyone else pays the low price of $5. The event starts at 7 pm with a rain date of August 5th. On Tuesday, August 3rd at 6 p.m., the Municipality is hosting a chocolate bar bingo night at the Milton Community Hall. For each regular size chocolate bar you bring, you will receive a bingo card (limit of 5 per person). Donations will be graciously accepted at the door. The prizes will be the chocolate bars! Light Living with Leone – Mat Yoga – Tuesdays at 9 a.m. $5; Chair Yoga – Tuesdays at 10:30 and Thursdays at 10 a.m. Also $5. Drop ins welcome.
Hip Hop – Tentatively the introduction classes (child or adult) will be this Thursday evening (July 29) at the Milton Community Hall. Contact Lindsey for more information – miltoncommunityhall@gmail.com. She will be contacting those who have already registered as soon as times are finalized.
The Milton Community Hall has been booked for a four-household yard sale this Saturday – July 31 and the hall is planning on hosting a bake sale on this Friday afternoon.
Looking into August…
The Municipality is organizing a day trip (likely on a Monday -tentatively August 16) on a bus to the Evangeline region of PEI – taking in the Bottle Houses – and their Monday musical picnic, the Acadian Museum, and other sights of the area.
