Leo Doucette

A Little about Me: We moved to this beautiful community in 2020, and I was elected to municipal council in 2022. It has been a privilege to serve, listen to residents, and work on the issues that matter to our community. I am seeking re-election so I can continue contributing my time, experience, and commitment to the community I am proud to call home.

Experience That Matters – Municipal Councillor since 2022 — bringing first-hand experience and a strong commitment to serving residents. – Planning Board member since 2023 — taking part in planning decisions that shape our community. – EMO Board member — supporting emergency preparedness and community safety.

On Election Day, I ask for your vote and the opportunity to continue serving as your Councillor..

Andrew Frizzell

Andrew Frizzell is a hard-working father of three and proud grandfather of five who has called Miltonvale home for many years. Through running a successful business for 35 years, he has built strong connections with people in the community and understands the value of hard work, listening, and treating everyone with respect. Andrew is passionate about Miltonvale and is running for councillor because he cares about the community and the people who call it home. He enjoys stopping to talk with people at local businesses, hearing their ideas, and learning about the issues that matter to them. Andrew believes strong communities grow when people feel heard and involved. He welcomes the opportunity to meet and talk with you. Feel free to stop by the shop or call Andrew at 902-629-5738.

Spencer MacDonald

I have been proud to call Miltonvale Park home since 2017. Since 2018, I have had the privilege of serving on Town Council. As a small business owner right here in the community, I understand the importance of hard work, practical thinking, and building strong relationships. My experience has taught me the value of listening to people, understanding their needs, and finding solutions that work in the real world. I want to see Miltonvale Park continue to be a community where people feel connected, valued, and proud to belong. I am committed to serving our municipality with an open mind, a willingness to listen, and a practical approach to the challenges and opportunities ahead. I believe the best results come when we work together, communicate openly, and keep our community’s best interests at heart.

Jeannie Newman

Hello, my name is Jeannie Newman, and I’m running for councillor in Miltonvale Park. This year marks 20 years living in the community, and my family has deep roots here. I work in accounts payable at COWS, where financial responsibility and attention to detail matter. With my son now in college, I have more time to dedicate to the community I call home. I believe local government should be approachable, transparent, and accountable to residents. Good decisions start with listening, understanding different perspectives, and considering the impact on the community. As a councillor, I would take residents’ concerns seriously, make responsible decisions about public spending, and welcome fresh ideas. I want to help keep Miltonvale Park a great place to live, work, and raise a family for years to come. jeannieformiltonvalepark@gmail.com

Hal Parker

To Miltonvale Park voters:

It is my hope that you will support me in my run to be a Councillor for the next four years. My past terms as Councillor and/or Mayor has spanned 17 years. Stepping aside as Mayor to let Jamie Taylor serve as community leader is important in giving a new perspective. My choosing to run and hopefully be elected as Councillor will help give the new Council as lengthy a memory as possible. I feel this is important to avoid repeating past mistakes or leaving holes in future bylaws. Miltonvale has made good progress during my time. We have gained high speed internet, water and sewer in Sleepy Hollow, decommissioned two lagoons and moved the Council office back into the community at the Milton Community Hall. Hoping for your support, I remain.

Yours,

Hal Parker

Paul Poole

I was raised and have lived in Miltonvale Park for just over sixty years. I am just completing my second term as a councillor, where most recently I filled the roles planning board chair, EMO Coordinator, and deputy mayor. I am seeking re-election, and would apply the experience I have gain in municipal politics over the past eight year. In 2026, I retired from the logistics position I had been in for the past thirty-nine years. I enjoy travelling, and exploring new places, whether on a motorcycle, in a car or on a cruise ship. I am the guy my friends call for vehicle, home, and technical advice, and my wife Carolyn will attest that I leave at a moment’s notice to lend a hand. I would urge all eligible Miltonvale Park residents to vote in the 2026 Municipal election. My personal email address is plp@eastlink.ca

Rose Ramsay

Rose has lived in Milton Station with her husband for 17 years she has two daughters Caitlyn and Lindsay. Rose has retired from the Retail Industry and Fashion Industry. Rose’s love of poetry has produced one book of poems, has won several awards for her poems in Canada and the United States. Rose became interested in politics at a young age while her mother was involved. So 4 years ago the chance came to offer for Council and has grown into a new Journey. Rose spends most of her spare time volunteering at the Milton Community Hall. Rose can be reached at ramsayrosemarie05@gmail.com and personal phone number 1-902 -393 -1541.

Message from the Incoming Mayor -Jamie Taylor (acclaimed)

It has been an honour to represent the residents of Miltonvale Park on council as part of a team that worked hard to facilitate growth, collaborate with neighbours, mould plans for the future and protect our rural identity. I look forward to continuing to do the same as your next mayor. When many municipalities struggle to have names on ballots, Miltonvale Park is very fortunate to have eight civic-minded people who care about our neighbourhoods and are willing to work hard to ensure we continue to be a strong and welcoming municipality offering for council. My sincerest thanks to each candidate.

It would be unreasonably optimistic to think we are always going to agree completely on matters, and that is ok. It doesn’t mean that one party is wrong and the other is right, it just means that we need to find a way to keep the conversation going and together work harder to do what is best for Miltonvale Park.

Let your voice be heard. Cast a ballot and form a strong council that represents your goals, values, and vision for Miltonvale Park.  jamieformiltonvalepark@gmail.com
